Derry Maine Logos

I had to create a logo assigned to a state. I could use any town, or aspect of that State.
My state was Maine, so I chose to create a logo for "Derry" Maine, a fictional town often seen in Stephen King novels.

I wanted to create a sort of mysterious creepy aspect, hence the iron gate design, but at the same time remain intricate and delicate.
I think i portrayed more of the latter. That's alright though
